Thank you! My friend and I were just discussing children's books yesterday- so much garbage and ugliness out there. so sad. So glad my kids love to read the good, well written classics!

You may not remember me, but we crossed paths a few times in the East group. John and my husband (Stephen) served in the same mission! Anyway, I just recently stumbled upon your blog and it's lovely. I absolutely love and agree with this article, thanks for posting it. Also, congrats on the marriage!

Oh my gosh yes. I was going through my classroom library yesterday and not wanting to put some of the books out on the shelf. Except now I'm going to go back through them even more carefully. There's a case made by a lot of educators that kids just need to read and we can do that by letting them read whatever they want. It makes me completely uncomfortable.
